#5 Darn cats



The Mayhem cat commercial is intended for people who have animals that aren't covered or looking for home insurance. The author of this commercial is targeting this group of people who are animal owners but yet not covered by any insurance. Hoping the examples that are used during commercial to pursue the individuals to buy All State insurance. The Mayhem guy acts like a cat and turns on the water which runs from the beginning of the commercial towards the end of the commercial. From the water damage the ceiling collapses in causing damage and the couple are sitting in the living room and then the mayhem guy stated, "And if you got the wrong home insurance coverage you could be coughing up the cash for this." 

The context is intended for the individuals who have animals and are without home insurance. Generally, Americans who have animals that live within the homes and may cause some damages even though they assume that it wouldn't. The commercials shows a young couple engage in their own things and just simply living their lives. They added a cat to the mix and then they did't expect the cat to be a nuisance in their daily lives. The commercial gives a glimpse of what possibilities that would happen if one has an animals. The author is hoping that the mayhem cat guy would persuade individuals to get "home insurance" at first but upon the ceiling he states that, "if you got the wrong home insurance coverage you could be coughing up cash for this?" Which clearly states that if you don't have "All State insurance" then you're screwed. This ad is built for people to consider "All State" as the best insurance to have as a home insurance. This commercial could fall under disturbing and ironic. The Mayhem commercial guy uses these tactic too get people to consider getting insurance for their home. 

The Mayhem guy is the main person to grab the attention of the audience because he is the negative that happens in this commercial but yet persuades the audiences to buy "All State Insurance."
