#7 Fresh...
The purpose of the film Fresh is to inform viewers of what organic and non-organic foods have to offer. Fresh gives insight on sustainable agriculture, farmers who don't use pesticides or antibiotics, and farmers who are looking to have better investments through the food system. The audience would be the potential buyers of fresh produce of America to give them information and maybe change their mind on which to food choices. So much had caught my attention while I watched this film on lunch. While I sat eating chicken from Church's I lost my appetite. I saw the chicks being tossed like trash and the grown chickens with their beaks and declawed feet, I immediately tossed my lunch away. I couldn't sit there and eat another bite without have that thought chickens in inhumane environments. Let's just say I have yet to eat chicken since I watch this film. I felt disgusted on how the animals were being treated and especially the 2,600 pigs that were housed in a small building. I couldn't fathom the thought of eating processed meat again. This movie should have a warning indicating the film could change the thought about eating chicken, beef, and pork. The movie overall brings awareness to how our food is treated prior to it arriving in the grocery store. The more people know about how their food is prepared than they have a better understanding on what they put in their body. The quote "you are what you eat" is true.
