#4 Feeling Lost

Image
At times most people may think to themselves and ask, "Am I headed in the right direction in life?" Many young and older adults may had this thought once or twice in their life. As humans this day in age we are simply racing against time, trying to meet a deadline, and trying to fulfill our daily tasks in a timely manner. The character that comes to mind is none other than the "White Rabbit" in Alice in the Wonderland. So many of us tend to live in the past or future but never in the present. This may also be the reason why so many individuals have/had these thoughts due to the fact of always wandering in two other places rather than simply living in the present. These feelings that arises during these times of feeling unsure is just another hurdle to overcome during a goal that is being pursued.  Some individuals may have the hardest time during this lost stage but some will quickly bounce back. Having a support system is also a great way to push pass these times...

#3 Cool Sensation

Image
The thought of opening this sealed product as quickly as possible activates my taste buds and my mouth begins to water. Fidgeting with this plastic seal for a moment has finally let some cool aroma seep through the lining of the product. As I move this plastic container and hearing the tablets move side to side I began to salivate more than usual. Words written on the container states one side one and sharing labeled on it. I quickly opened the wider side to quickly access the round white tablet with blue freckled dots. One white freckled tablet popped in my mouth and BAM!!! My mouth feels like a different atmosphere once that tablet starts moving side to side and the urge to bite the tablet in half creeps up. Unfortunately, I held out as long as I could but then my teeth cracks the tablet in half and then the Arctic breeze feels 10x more extreme and suddenly my eyes begin to water. The tablet gave has me visualizing of skiing down a huge mountain as the cool fresh breeze hits my face....

#2 Azee Bee Nahagha (Native American Church)

#2 Azee Bee Nahagha (Native American Church) As a young person I really didn't have an interest in any type of religion. My father didn't have a religion he exercise or talked about and my mother was a christian/traditional follower. My grandmother believed in our traditional ways and my grandfather believed in the bible but through revival church. In my younger days it just felt I was a lost individual trying to find my own path to religion. Our traditional beliefs seemed complicated to understand and christianity in my own opinion was a religion that was force onto natives. As a young person I thought of myself as a lost individual with no religious value.  One summer day while visiting family I noticed a teepee that was set up during the early morning. As curiosity took over I started to ask questions in regards to what I seen. Apparently I had asked enough questions so they invited me to attend the ceremony to get an understanding of what Native American Church was. So I...

Entry 1- What is my opinion on blogs?

Image
In all honesty I rarely read any sort of blogs. Unfortunately I search various types of blogs from food to babies, to sports, to news, and some obnoxious celebrity news. Let's start with the fist two blogs I thought were worth wasting time on. As a native I like to engage in reading materials that involve native communities or awareness.  https://blog.nativehope.org/all . There are many topics of interest for any type of reader. I enjoy this blog due to the fact that it brings awareness to native hardships or even spirituality for various cultures across native lands. It shines light on the struggles we native have experience(d) past or present. This website also holds the many stories of individuals who have stories worth sharing or would like to express. The format that is used on this website would be casual/professional. This blog has well organized page that is easy to navigate within the site. The many pictures and personal information of the natives that shared their s...

The Simple Life of Trudell

Image
My name is Trudell. I am part of the Navajo tribe that is the largest native tribe. I am a person who enjoys the simple things in life and doesn't need to be surrounded by lavish things. I enjoy spending time at home with the family and cooking. I enjoy practicing my religion through Native American Church. My interests are working, bike riding, driving and trying to finish college. I'm not that interesting in the least just doing my part on trying to provide a better life for my family. My hobbies include sewing and reading articles about various topics. I haven't had a chance to enjoy hardly anything the past two years. Does work count as a hobby? I definitely enjoy working with my patients that I tend to. Working with hemodialysis patients gives me that reward at the end of the day that I helped someone. My goals are to finish what I intended to do a few years ago after putting life on cruise control for a few years with dealing with depression. But I didn't allow i...
